K-OS - ‘Man I Used To Be’

My good friend Garrett put me on K-OS. His music has changed the way I perceive, feel, and understand it. It is without rules, without boundaries, but most importantly that its created with true passion, which emanates from the soul.

I’ve come to the understanding that music is a universal language in which we ALL understand. It’s a gift that we all possess and own. That’s the difference between this sound versus the sounds on the radio that are pre-formulated, neatly packaged, and fabricated to infect the true beauty of honest music from the heart.

I don’t mean to offend any artists or listeners of mainstream music. Just blatantly stating that music motivated by fame and fortune is obvious for me. I’m not about any of it. Cause once you are absorbed by the spotlight of mainstream media and hit the pinnacle of your career, what’s going to motivate you then? 

Turn off the radio. Listen to your soul.
